Sensor Timing and Clocking: Generates and supplies precise timing signals and clock pulses required to operate the miniature Charge-Coupled Device (CCD) image sensor at the tip of the scope.
Signal Pre-Amplification & Conditioning: Receives weak analog image signals from the CCD sensor, applying initial amplification and analog filtering to minimize electrical noise.
Data Routing: Converts and transmits video data securely through the internal wiring harness down to the video processor system (such as the Olympus Optera platform).
Imaging Mode Support: Coordinates with the processor to support advanced visualization features native to the 170-series, including HDTV output and NBI (Narrow Band Imaging) for enhanced mucosal and vascular pattern differentiation.
