The STORZ TH102 camera head utilizes 3-Chip CCD technology to achieve its high-performance imaging capabilities.The 3-Chip CCD in the STORZ TH102 is the highly sensitive, high-resolution sensor package responsible for capturing and defining the sharp, color-accurate, and stable Full HD video stream.

► Features

• Light Conversion: The primary function is to convert incident photons (light), transmitted through the endoscope’s lens system, into an electrical charge packet proportional to the light’s intensity.
• Charge Transfer: The CCD architecture allows the accumulated charge to be efficiently transferred, pixel by pixel, to the output amplifier for digitization and processing.
• True Color Separation: Because it is a 3-Chip system, a prism inside the camera head splits the light into its primary color components (Red, Green, Blue) before reaching the CCDs. Each chip captures only one color
• High Definition Capture: The dense arrangement of the CCD pixels allows the camera to record the full 1920 *1080 data required for a Full HD video signal.
• LFlicker-Free Output: The Progressive Scan function of the CCD ensures a stable, clean video feed by capturing the image in a single pass, which is essential for reducing eye fatigue and improving precision during long surgical procedures.
